Our Story
How it started?
SOL Church was born in the early 1990s in Sacramento among Ukrainian immigrants who longed to worship God in their native language. Through misunderstanding, tension, and separation, the community was formed as a living church — not a building, but people.
Different cultures, generations, and views became a place where God taught unity. The church gathered in homes, rented spaces, and even parks until, through prayer, sacrifice, and God's provision, its own House of Prayer was built in 2012.
SOL Church grew through serving people: feeding workers, helping immigrants, welcoming the unchurched, raising youth, and intentionally passing leadership to the next generation. Today, it is a multi-service Ukrainian- and English-speaking church united by one mission — love for people and a desire to make the name of Christ known.
A great God continues to write His story through ordinary people.
